Introduction to Sailing and Yachting

Course Objectives

The course is an introduction to sailing and yachting. The two day course will be held on a yacht and by the end of the course you will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and be aware of safety on board.Course content:

Saturday: 08:30 - 16:30

Sunday: 09:00 - 17:00

Maximum Students per instructor: 8

Course content

Clothing and equipment, seamanship.
Be familiar with the yacht, briefed of all areas, engine room etc.
Emergency equipment and precautions
Electronic equipment, VHF.
Preparation of yacht before leaving the marina.
Anchorage, ropework, mooring.
Steering, sailing, handle sails.
Navigation lights, rules of the road, night sailing.
